PDO Threading Lift

Polydioxanone (PDO) threads aren’t really “threads”, they’re hair-thin strands of synthetic absorbable materials that has been used in surgery since the 1980's! These dissolvable sutures have tiny barbs that, when inserted under the skin, gently lift and tighten the skin while stimulating new collagen growth. The result is an instant rejuvenation that also improves over time.  

PDO Threads are naturally broken down within the body over 6-8 months, although the beautiful results will last around 18 months. As the PDO dissolves naturally over time a strong collagen bond results.  

The principle behind PDO thread lifting is not simply about pulling the skin into a different position, but rather to stimulate the body’s natural reaction to a ‘foreign body’ – which is to produce collagen and improve blood circulation, contracting the tissue.
