Hidden away in your blood platelets are numerous growth factors that can keep the tissues all over your body healthy, resilient, smooth, and strong. PRF or platelet rich fibrin is a quick in office procedure where we draw blood and spin it down in a centrifuge and extract the PRF. The PRF contains nine different growth factors and is the part of the blood the knits your skin back together after you’ve cut yourself. It is used with micro-needling as glide, and this reinjects all those healing growth factors back into your skin! It can also be used as a filler. We inject it just like traditional filler. If using just PRF, this will need to be repeated 2 more times spaced 6 weeks (about 1 and a half months) apart to get the full impact of traditional filler. The bonus with PRF is it literally transforms your face in a way that filler alone cannot.
